- Application includes isolation and identification of plant / human pathogens, work in virology, tissue culture, sterility testing and recombinant DNA research.

- 70% of the air is recycled back into the workspace, while 30% is HEPA-filtered and sent into the atmosphere through a separate duct so that it doesn't mix with the recycled air.
