  • The Antibiotic Zone Reader determines the strength of antibiotic materials by measuring diameter of 0 to 80.0 mm of inhibited zone in petri dish.
  • Bacteria are added to agar in a petri dish. After that, a sensitivity disc is applied to the dish. Bacterial growth fills the disc after incubation, with the exception of the circular inhibited zone. The strength of the antibiotic determines the zone diameter. Transparent and semi-transparent agar allow light from the base to ascend.
  • The diameter of the inhibition zones surrounding antibiotic disks on agar plates is precisely measured using the Antibiotic Zone Reader. In microbiological research and clinical diagnostics, it is crucial for assessing the effectiveness of medicines and guaranteeing accurate antimicrobial susceptibility testing.
