  • The Antibiotic Zone Reader determines the strength of antibiotic materials by measuring diameter of 0 to 80.0 mm of inhibited zone in petri dish.
  • Agar in petri dish is inculated with bacteria. Then sensitivity disc is dispensed on to dish. After incubation, bacterial growth covers disc except circular inhibited zone. Zone diameter is the function of antibiotic strength. Light from the base passes up through transparent & semi-transparent portion of agar.
